Inspection and Adjustment of Kubota Engine Pressure, Top Clearance, and Valve Clearance

Inspection and Adjustment of  Kubota BX25, RCK54(P)-23BX, RCK60B-23BX, LA240, Engine Pressure, Top Clearance, and Valve Clearance

2022 Kubota Takeuchi DiagMaster Level 6 20.11.01 Installation Service

Compression Pressure(by Glow Plug Hole Adaptor Setting)
1. Run the engine until it is warmed up.
2. Stop the engine.
3. Remove the air cleaner, the muffler, the breather tube, the head cover and all glow plugs.
4. Set a compression tester(Code No.07909-30208) with the adaptor(Adaptor L, code No.07909-31301) to the glow plug hole.
5. After making sure that the stop lever is set at the stop position
(non-injection), run the engine with the starter and measure the compression pressure.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each cylinder.
7. If the measurement is below the allowable limit, apply a small amount of oil to the cylinder wall through the glow plug hole(or nozzle hole) and measure the compression pressure again.
8. If the compression pressure is still less than the allowable limit, check the top clearance, valve clearance and cylinder head.
9. If the compression pressure increases after applying oil, check the cylinder wall and piston rings.
   NOTE
· Check the compression pressure with the specified valve clearance.
· Always use a fully charged battery for performing this test.
· Variances in cylinder compression values should be under
   10%.

Top Clearance
1. Remove the cylinder head.(Do not attempt to remove the cylinder head gasket.)
2. Move the piston up and stick a strip of fuse [1.5 mm dia.(0.059
in. dia.),5 to 7 mm long (0.197 to 0.276 in. long)] on the piston head at three positions with grease so as to avoid the intake and exhaust valves and the combustion chamber ports.
3. Lower the piston, and install the cylinder head and tighten the cylinder head screws to the specified torque.
4. Turn the flywheel until the piston exceeds top dead center.
5. Remove the cylinder head, and measure the thickness of the squeezed fuses.
6. If the measurement is not within the factory specifications, check the oil clearance between the crankpin and crankpin bearing and between the piston pin and small end bushing.
   DNOTE
· After checking the top clearance, be sure to assemble the cylinder head with a new cylinder head gasket.

Checking Valve Clearance IMPORTANT
· Valve clearance must be checked and adjusted when engine is cold.
1. Remove the cylinder head cover and the glow plugs.
2. Align the"1TC"mark(1) on the flywheel and alignment mark(2)
on the rear end plate so that the No.1 piston comes to the compression top dead center.
3. Check the following valve clearance marked with "*"using a feeler gauge.
4. If the clearance is not within the factory specifications, adjust with the adjusting screw.
5. Then turm the flywheel 6.28 rad(360"), and align the "1TC"mark
(1) on the flywheel and alignment mark (3) on the rear end plate so that the No.1 piston comes to the overlap position.
6. Check the following valve clearance marked with "*"using a feeler gauge.
7. If the clearance is not within the factory specifications, adjust with the adjusting screw.

Kubota Takeuchi DiagMaster License KG Authorization Level 6 ECM Programming

 NOTE:
· The sequence of cylinder numbers is given as No.1, No.2
and No.3 starting from the gear case side.
· After adjusting the valve clearance, secure the adjusting screw with the lock nut.

Doosan DL220 Refrigerant Safe Handling Procedures Guide

This article mainly introduces Doosan DL220 Refrigerant Safe Handling Procedures

Doosan DMS-5 (Doosan Data Monitoring System) Diagnostic Software V1.6.3

The following procedures should be observed for safe handing of refrigerant during vacuum and charging process.
1.Use an approved recovery / charging device which can safely perform vacuum and charge work simultaneously.

2.The new refrigerant has improved cooling characteristics than the old type and care should be used not to overcharge the system.

3. Do not over tighten connections when working on refrigerant system.

4. The new refrigerant system standards require new tools, equipment and parts. Do not attempt to use equipment use in servicing the old refrigerant system.

5. The new refrigerant oil (PAG type) has a high moisture absorption characteristic. When the refrigerant system vacuum seal has been broken, immediately plug up allopenings to prevent moisture from entering into the system.

Doosan Diagnostic Tool DDT G2 SCAN( ECU ,DCU)Software 2016

6. When joining unions which use O-ring seals, lightly coat O-rings with refrigerant oil. Be careful not to drip oil on the threads of the nut.

7. Be certain the O-rings are seated properly on the refrigerant line lip. Always use new O-rings when reassembling parts. Do not reuse old O-rings.

8. Use a vacuum pump to evacuate refrigerant system of air.

9. When charging the refrigerant system with the engine running, do not open the high-pressure valve on the manifold gauge as the reverse flow of high-pressure refrigerant will rupture the hose.

10. When releasing the high-pressure hose after completing the charging process, quickly disconnect the hose to minimize refrigerant released to the air.

Kubota U10 U20 Excavator Accelerator Bar Adjustment Guide

This instruction shows you how to adjust the accelerator lever for Kubota U10 U20 excavators.

 step:
Adjusting Maximum Speed Make sure the engine governor lever is in the maximum speed position. With the lever in the MAX position, lock the bolt by turning the adjustment bolt until it makes light contact with the accelerator lever (see Section A).
Defect: Improper adjustment may damage the acceleration line.

Adjusting Idle Speed Tilt the accelerator lever fully forward, making sure the accelerator line is free. Defect: Poor adjustment, may cause poor idle speed.

Set the operating force of the accelerator lever to 20~30N·m(2~3kgf-m). Disadvantage: The handling force is too strong, and it may be difficult to obtain acceleration. Too weak operating force may result in a drop in rotational speed. Follow the route through the acceleration line as shown on the left. Tighten the clamp.
Defect: Wrong wiring that can cause wires to get stuck or damaged.

Connect the accelerator wire to the engine inside the governor rod. (See below.)
Defect: Incorrect connection, could cause the accelerator lever to move too wide and hit the leg.

This article mainly introduces Doosan DL22 Cylinders DISASSEMBLY

Doosan DMS-5 (Doosan Data Monitoring System) Diagnostic Software V1.6.3

NOTE: Keep on hand a container large enough to hold all of the oil in cylinder being repaired. When cylinder rod and head are removed, oil will run out of cylinder.
NOTE: Dispose of drained fuids according to local regulations.
1. Use an allen wrench to remove bolts that hold cylinder head t
o cylinder tube. See Figure 8.

2.Support cylinder rod with a lifting sling.See Figure 9.Side cylinder rod out of cylinder tube.Rotate cylinder rod slightly as it is being pulled from cylinder tube. This will make it easier to pull rod out of tube.

3.Set cylinder rod assembly in a repair fixture and secure rod in place.See Figure 10.Use a power wrench and socket to remove nut that holds piston on rod.
