1 Drain the engine oil.

2 Remove the oil filter. Also drain the oil from the centrifugal oil cleaner reservoir.

3 Remove the fuel filter element. Use suction on the filter housing if necessary.

Note: The fuel system may be pressurised.

Release the pressure before dismantling.

4 Drain the oil from the compressor by

unscrewing the blanking pieces.

5 Drain the oil from the turbocompound unit

by undoing the oil pipe connection.

Please.follow.the.steps.below.to.change.the.oil.filter:

Risk of scalding!

1Then.unscrew.the.lube.oil.filter.cartridge.using.a.commercial.tool.and.spin.it.off.

2 Catch any oil that may spill out.

3 Clean.any.dirt.from.the.filter.carrier.sealing.surface

4 Lightly oil the rubber gasket of the new cartridge

5 Manually.screw.in.the.new.cartridge.until.the.gasket.is.flush.

6 Tighten.the.lube.oil.filter.cartridge.with.another.half-turn.by.hand

7 Check the oil level, see section 6.1.2

8 Start the engine

9 Check the oil pressure, see section 3.3.2

10 Check.the.lube.oil.filter.cartridge.seal.for.leaks..

11 Shut down the engine and wait a minimum of 5 minutes

12 Check the oil level, see section 6.1.2
